For the duration of the Trial, you will not be able to utilize normal shards to promote and ascend the character. All progress must be done with Trial shards. Points are awarded during normal play of Campaign battles, Arena battles, and Guild Raids.

The number of points earned depends on a few factors. For campaign battles, the most points are earned from playing difficult battles four skulls and earning a lightning victory without losing a character.

Lower skull rating battles, failure to obtain a lightning victory, and losing a character all detract from the points earned. Arena is similar but does not have a Lightning Victory condition.

In Guild Raid, points are awarded for reaching certain damage thresholds. These thresholds are not adjusted for the rarity of the boss, so it becomes more difficult to hit the thresholds against higher ranked bosses.

With the Synaptic Imperative event, the point breakdown pop-up for Campaign and Arena was only available in battle previously it could be viewed outside a battle. The formulae are reproduced here:.

Once you reach a given threshold of Points, they will automatically award you an amount of Currency upon accessing the Trial section of the Battle page.

The threshold needed for each packet of Currency increases as your number of points increase. Currency is awarded in a number of ways. As detailed above, you earn a certain amount of Currency by hitting Point thresholds. Your accumulated Points also determines your leaderboard position, which, in turn, determines your free daily payout of Currency as well as the amounts in the weekly Trial crates.

The daily payout will arrive in your Inbox every day starting day 2 of the Trial; the weekly chests will arrive on days 7 and You also gain Currency as rewards for completing each of the 20 special Trial missions see below.

There are also special deals available in the Shop or from the Trial screen during the Trial. At the beginning of week 1 and week 2 there is a Bonus Delivery deal that gives additional energy and a daily payout and mission Currency boost.
