Sips By is a women-owned monthly tea subscription box that lets subscribers try teas from over brands worldwide. For an extra-personalized experience, subscribers can rate the teas they receive, which factors into future selections.

You can choose to receive six or 12 bottles of wine per month, and each shipment is selected specifically for your palate. Firstleaf bases its selections on your responses to a quiz about your wine preferences and provides recommendations that match your custom tasting profile.

Our reviewer left it up to Firstleaf to select for her. Three red wines, two white wines, and one rosé wine arrived at her door. Each themed box includes house-made bitters, mixers, specialty syrups, and garnishes to create cocktail recipes crafted by award-winning mixologists.

You just have to provide the booze. She had no mixing experience making craft cocktails, but the clear instructions made the end result taste like something out of a craft cocktail bar. Blue Apron has become synonymous with meal kit delivery services. Our reviewer has long used the service, and she said it has taken the guesswork out of weeknight dinners.

Blue Apron offers an ever-expanding selection of recipes, in addition to seasonal meal kits and heat-and-eat meals, all consistently tasty—and more importantly, easy to make—to stave off monotony and keep homemade meals interesting.

Think: sweet and spicy noodles with mushroom and bok choy and spicy honey-soy chicken and broccoli. Every Blue Apron meal our reviewer has made has been well-rounded, with equal portions of carbs, protein, and veggies, which she said is a welcome change to the meals she makes when left to her own imagination.

Plus, the clear instructions and included pre-measured ingredients which unfortunately comes wrapped in a lot of plastic, according to our reviewer cuts cooking time in half. It offers flexible meal plans and subscriptions, too—subscribers can pick from five meal preferences, for two or four servings and two to four weekly meals.

Sun Basket is a meal kit delivery service that ships subscribers USDA-certified organic and sustainable ingredients to make healthful meals each week. Like Blue Apron, Sun Basket subscribers can choose between classic meal kits or heat-and-eat meals, with options for two or four serving and two to four weekly meals.

What sets it apart is that it caters to a wide variety of lifestyle and food preferences and provides options for folks with dietary allergies and restrictions, including our reviewer who is allergic to sesame.

Yes, please. Each shipment comes with four pints, two of which may be unreleased flavors to offer members an exclusive taste. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a three-month chocolate subscription from Vosges Haut-Chocolat. The box includes eight full-sized products that range from pregnancy-safe balms and nipple creams to pampering products and maternity attire.

As a bonus, the Oh Baby Box is customized to your stage of pregnancy to ensure that it meets your needs. The Bump Box is a mom-owned subscription box for moms. Each shipment will be a surprise but promises expectant mothers much-needed TLC. Plus, the brand offers subscribers up to 80 percent off on products in the online store, which has a robust listing of one-time subscription boxes.

Cater to Mom is created with postpartum care in mind, with boxes containing items to aid in recovery and help moms prioritize self-care. Each box includes six to eight products, all made with organic, natural, vegan, and cruelty-free ingredients.

Subscribers can expect everything from snacks to teas and bath and pampering products. The Lovevery Play Kit is a toy subscription box for kids—and, by extension, parents who want to provide their young ones with age-appropriate toys that support their development.

Plus, every toy is made with organic and sustainable materials to give parents peace of mind while their children play. Subscribers receive a themed box with a different activity and a snack each month. Crated with Love offers new ways to mix up date nights at an affordable price.

Subscribers can shop boxes individually or sign up for a three-, six-, or month subscription plan to save a few more dollars. The Lift Box is a monthly fitness box for weightlifters.

Each box includes a variety of essentials—from protein bars to beverages to workout equipment and more—to help its subscribers build and maintain their strength.

However, our reviewer, who received one of its boxes to sample, said the included products were straightforward but practical, making it ideal for folks who maintain a rigorous movement routine.

Her box included protein in powder and snack formats, powered drinks, a ready-to-drink energy beverage, and a deck of double-sided workout cards with detailed instructions for 53 exercises. It also included a T-shirt, which, though optional, comes free with every box.

According to our reviewer, one tradeoff is that The Lift Box cannot be customized for subscribers with dietary allergies or restrictions, which is unfortunate considering that much of the contents are foodstuffs. To start, new subscribers fill out a personal style profile, and based on their information, the YogaClub stylists curate a list of pieces for you to choose from.

You also have the option to exchange your items upon their arrival, which comes free of charge. Stitch Fix can make shopping for clothing online much easier—and at a far more affordable price. The brand requires no subscription, but you can opt for automatic delivery based on your preferred delivery cadence.

Nuuly is a clothing rental subscription service that provides access to clothing items from well-known fashion labels.

You can buy groceries as one-offs or set up recurring subscriptions of your favorites to auto-deliver every four, eight, or twelve weeks. It would be nice if there was a two-week option. What we liked: With ButcherBox, you can choose between a beef and chicken box, beef and pork, mixed box, or custom box—containing nine to 14 pounds of meat, depending on which you select.

You can also choose the delivery frequency, which is great because it really is a ton of meat. Besides the fact, you may need a chest freezer to store everything. What we liked: Man, does this subscription have their delivery figured out.

The meat arrived frozen solid, while the two glass bottles of sauces were separately wrapped and placed towards the top of the box, so they were frosty, but not in danger of shattering.

The package I got included a ribeye, two, 1-pound blocks of ground meat, flank steak, beef teres major, and a package of chorizo, plus two bottles of NY Shuk sauces.

What we liked: Our subscription included Atlantic salmon, wild Atlantic halibut, wild Ahi tuna steaks, and a pound of scallops. You can choose between getting your seafood delivered fresh or frozen, and you can buy a one-off box or an auto-delivery of one, two, four, or eight weeks options—we like 'em!

What we liked: A family-owned business located in Duxbury, Massachusetts, Real Oyster Cult has and sources some of the freshest bivalves around.

The oysters arrived ice cold and in separate mesh bags. I also found their Mignon-Nips to be wonderful accompaniments. Plus, if you live in New England, shipping is free.

What we liked: A Boston-based company, Wulf's sells some of the best seafood I've tried. The Fishmonger's Favorites Box gives you a whole lot for its price: sustainably farmed Norwegian salmon, Arctic char, cod, haddock, grey sole, and two pounds of peeled, deveined Mexican Blue Shrimp.

The fish fillets all come vacuum-sealed and everything arrived frozen solid. The company also offers a pricier, large box called their Greatest Hits. What we didn't like: Nothing—this is a great subscription.

What we liked: These small soup dumplings are so delicious and take just 10 minutes to steam. I loved that each bag included perforated paper liners for a bamboo steamer. For me, the black vinegar was the perfect way to enjoy the pork soup dumplings.

You can choose to have two-plus bags of dumplings plus one to three of the company's sauces delivered monthly or every two months. What we didn't like: It would be nice if there was an option to get just one bag of soup dumplings delivered every month, for solo diners.

What we liked: Wine Access has nine clubs, but I tried the Discovery Club. It came with six bottles, YouTube videos detailing tasting notes and stories on the winemakers and vineyards, and sheets for each bottle for you to write down tasting and olfactory notes.

What we liked: For natural wine lovers, Mysa will be a haven. For those with sustainability in mind, the lack of printouts will be appreciated. Fun fact: My friends own Mysa wine, and they really are the most delightful people! What we liked: A non-alcoholic box with a theme?

Sign us up literally. Enter Raising the Bar, a zero-proof subscription box that provides all the ingredients and a recipe for tasty tipples—minus the ABV. What we liked: Every month, City Brews will send you beers from a different city highlighting four breweries.

This was no mere box of IPAs—there was a grisette, an oatmeal pilsner, a stout, and a few lagers along with some IPAs because, well, West Coast IPAs are the OG. This would be a fantastic gift for a beer nerd, like my husband I'm seriously thinking of gifting it to him for Christmas!

The price per beer is equivalent to getting a pour at a brewery, but far more than buying a 6-pack at a store. What we liked: This is the coffee subscription of choice for Serious Eats commerce writer Jesse Raub , aka our in-house coffee expert he spent 15 years in the specialty coffee industry.

When you first sign up from Trade, it uses an algorithm quiz to choose coffee for you based on your answers. The quiz includes your preferred brewing method i. pourover, automatic drip, espresso machine , coffee knowledge level, roast preferences, and more.

I think it probably works much better for someone who isn't a coffee pro and needs help picking out what they want. However, this sparkling water is truly phenomenal and offers some of the most unsuspecting yet wonderful flavors.

Peach honeysuckle? Mango chili? Blueberry wildflower? Each subscription includes 24 cans of what-will-they-come-up-with-next. My husband now gets visibly excited when a case of Aura Bora arrives at our doorstep. What we liked: Hot, hot, hot! And Brightland and Graza make two of our favorites.

Brightland is pricier, but comes with two distinct olive oils: Awake is super peppery, while Alive is mellow and fruity.

Graza has some of our favorite packaging, with the squeeze bottle making it super easy to dispense oil into a measuring cup or directly into a pan. The subscription duo comes with Drizzle for finishing and Sizzle for cooking.

Graza has the same auto-delivery selection, though Drizzle is a bit one-note flavor-wise. What we liked: A supremely nice gift to give someone or yourself is to always have olive oil on hand. Club Corto will give you exactly that.

Each shipment comes with two milliliter bottles and one supremely large 3-liter box. The box has a spout, though—perfect for decanting the olive oil into a dispenser.

Corto's olive oil is fresh and incredibly delicious, be it soaked up with bread or drizzled on top of pasta. If the Club's pricing doesn't appeal to you, Corto offers subscriptions on just their bottles or boxes you can choose between recurring delivery every one, two, three, or six months.

What we liked: This spice subscription has long been a favorite of Serious Eats staffers. What we liked: Three months of The croissants ship frozen from Les Marais bakery in San Francisco, with each month being a new croissant.

The first month is almond, the second is au beurre, and the third is chocolate croissants. I tried the au beurre croissant box, which arrived with 12 perfectly frozen croissants.

The box included clear, illustrated instructions for storing, thawing, proofing, and baking the croissants and the resulting pastries were incredible: uber-buttery they use two types of butter: French Isigny and Vermont Plugrá and flakey.

Still expensive? The company recently launched a Levain Cookie Club, which includes eight cookies a month. What we liked: Frog Hollow is a certified organic farm located in California—and they ship out some of the most perfect fruit.

My box which I received in July had organic yellow peaches and apricots both from Contra Costa County. The fruits were all ripe and so beautifully packaged: each individual fruit was wrapped in red and gold Frog Hollow tissue paper.

The fruit was incredible, too—both eaten by themselves and cubed with a bit of granola, heavy cream, and maple syrup on top. The delivery schedule is unclear from the product page. Which is a shame because it's some of the best ice cream I've tried. Their Pints Club ships monthly and you can choose between getting a mix of seasonal flavors, their best-sellers, or dairy-free pints.

I did the first one and got a range of fall-flavored ice creams, including one with actual chunks of pumpkin bread in it and another with caramel, peanut butter, and feuilletine. The ice cream arrived rock solid—with nary a pint even sweating. What we liked: Both of these snack boxes are delightful and come with printout booklets detailing each item in the box.

The Bokksu box had some wonderful delicate-tasting treats, including Earl Grey bread, a matcha-chocolate stick, pear and fromage biscuits, and mochi.

Tokyo Treat was more snack- and candy-oriented and included chestnut KitKats, a can of super-sweet orange juice, and what can be best described as Japanese Pop Rocks. With each box, I loved going through it, picking out something random, and looking up what it was in the booklet as I munched. It took a lot of page flipping to find a certain treat.

A subscription box is a box usually devoted to a single subject, be it snacks, cheese, or wine that delivers on a recurring basis. Usually, subscription boxes deliver once a month, but there are also bimonthly and quarterly options and some that are even weekly and biweekly.

The answer is: It depends! Our favorite subscription boxes are definitely great, but almost all of them are pricey. You often pay a premium for a curated selection of products that are delivered right to your door.

For some, this may be worth it—for others, not so much. We received some of these products as press samples, but all of our opinions are our own.

Our reviewer received the Fall box which revolved around the theme of exfoliation, and it included three full-sized products and brands like BeautyStat, Dove, Joaquina Botanica, and Necessaire.

Plus, everything came well-packaged, which made it all the more pleasing to receive. Scentbird has an online catalog of over scents and colognes, which subscribers can peruse according to fragrance ingredients, personality, occasion, or season, or if they want to further narrow down their choices, get recommendations from the brand by taking its online quiz.

The broad range of fragrance choices offered on the Scentbird website and its easy navigation impressed our reviewer, who said it made shopping for a fragrance online less overwhelming.

Her chosen—and not to mention, new favorite—perfume arrived within days of making her selection, and it came in a travel-sized case with a spray nozzle.

She gave bonus points to the handy twisting lock on the cap to help prevent the scent from accidentally discharging in a bag. The Starter Kit includes a razor, two four-blade razor cartridges, and a magnetic wall mount.

Billie will send refills to your door at the same price on a monthly, bimonthly, or quarterly basis, and should you want to cancel or revise your subscription, you can do so at no extra charge. Past boxes included snacks like cookies, candies, and crackers from Greece, the UK, and Thailand, all equally delicious and adventurous.

There are four different-sized boxes, with the smallest option containing at least five snacks and the largest containing up to Plus, boxes have a booklet with snack information and trivia to make snacking an educational experience. Items per box: Five to seven Yum Box ; 10 to 12 Yum Yum Box ; 15 to 18 Super Yum Box.

Save the trip to Whole Foods and subscribe to UrthBox, a subscription box offering an array of natural, organic, and non-GMO snacks. UrthBox offers tons of variety—from granola to snack bars to granola and trail mix—to satisfy your sweet and savory tooth.

The Mouth Snacks Subscription Box is for anyone who wants a taste of small-batch artisan snacks from local food makers. Each monthly box includes a variety of sweet and savory fare from different regions of the US. While it was one of the more unique snack boxes, it was also the most expensive.

Cheeseheads who want to expand their palate will appreciate the monthly international cheese subscription box from iGourmet. Each box has three to four cheeses from across the globe and two pairing accompaniments, ranging from charcuterie meats to jam to crackers.

Suffice it to say, it took her taste buds on a journey. The selection was enough for a small charcuterie board, and though each cheese was delicious, our reviewer fell in love with the Kanaal cheese, which she said was salty and sweet, with added texture, thanks to salt crystals embedded into it.

She said it was even more wonderful when paired with the salami. If anything, there was more taralli than salami and cheese, but our reviewer said that it was good enough to eat on its own.

While she admits she is happy to snack on any cheese, she liked that the box included a handout listing information and suggested wine pairings for each one, making it a tasty and informative experience.

If you love Brightland, too, you might want to opt into their subscription service. Subscribers can opt for monthly, bimonthly, or quarterly deliveries, with the option to skip a delivery at no cost. Want to make bakery-worthy desserts and pastries? Let Bake Eat Love show you how.

Caffeine lovers wanting to expand their coffee palates may want to join the Trade Coffee Club, which partners with over 55 roasters across the US. When you sign up, you can select between two subscription tiers. From there, you can select between a standard or ounce coffee bag, whole-bean or ground coffee, and the delivery frequency.

Plus, Trade offers a significant discount if folks opt for a long-term subscription or a larger order.
